Susan Bibb

Sue has over 25 years experience teaching dance. Having danced from the age of 6 in Birmingham she then trained professionally at Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom from the age of 16 where she graduated with the dancers Diploma and ISTD Associate teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National.

It was at the college having been taught by some of the top teachers and choreographers in the country that her love of teaching began.

On leaving college Sue commenced her professional performing career a little further from home in Japan. Many other contracts followed taking her all around the world where she became head girl and Dance captain for top choreographers Rex Grey and Ken Warwick. Finally Sue returned to London’s West End as a dancer at the Talk of London, Drury Lane.

Whilst still performing Sue began to teach as a guest teacher at a variety of schools eventually becoming head of Dance at Harlequin Theatre School.

Having moved to Dunmow it was when her daughter showed an interest in Dance that Sue began the Dunmow Theatre Dance School with then partner Georgina.

Sue has choreographed numerous shows and pantomimes over the years and particularly loves the thrill of putting together the schools bi annual show. She took over the running of the school when Georgina moved to America and has never looked back .

Sue is a Fellow member and registered teacher with the Associated Board Of Dance (ABD) an accredited awarding body recognised by the Board of Dance Qualifications & Training ( BDQT). Now a Theatre Examiner for the Associated Board of Dance and Chairman of the East Anglia branch, Sue regularly travels the country lecturing, examining and adjudicating an array of talent.
