What We Offer
The Class
Students may join at any time throughout the term , first class free. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the first class and there will be many other occasions when parents are invited to watch.
For those with very young children it may be comforting for a parent to stay with them whilst they get to know us however experience tells us that they are usually fine and will be beaming within seconds of you leaving ! (Sorry mum) if at any time you wish to observe a class please feel free to ask- you are most welcome to do so.
Whilst the core classes are Ballet, Tap and Modern, all genres are covered with commercial, lyrical, street and musical theatre included with current up to date trends and music.
Both boys and girls are welcome.

Performances
The school is very much performance based , and the pupils are given lots of opportunities to perform.
- Every two years we put on a spectacular show in which every pupil performs
- Every year in July the school holds a presentation evening where hard working enthusiastic students are rewarded with trophies and medals. Pupils perform routines from the term too and a great evening is had by all
- Pupils over the age of 8 may audition to dance with The Dunmow Pantomime Group which Sue and Louise Choreograph. Many students have progressed to take on leading roles in their pantomimes which are performed every January in Dunmow.
- We have appeared several times on stage at ‘Her Majesties Theatre’ in the West End for Young performers Children’s Variety Show. This is such a fantastic opportunity and a very ‘Proud tear in the eye’ moment for parents to watch.
- We often perform at local fetes and events most recently at the Gates Ford Garage in Stortford.
Exams
We provide expert tuition with an option to take qualified exams in Tap, Ballet and Modern from preparatory up to all majors following the Associated Board of Dance G Qual accredited programme of study. Exams are by no means compulsory and pupils will be entered as and when they have achieved the required standard, no pupil will be held back if they choose not to take an exam.
We have a good relationship with the local Primary and Senior schools, providing cover for gcse classes and joining with school performances. Sue has judged the hrs choreographic for the past 10 years. Gcse students are often recommended to train with us to help enhance their studies.
